A Bayonne Board of Education trustee and a veteran operative for the Jersey City Education Association are teaming up for an Assembly run in the 31st Legislative District, sources said.

Christopher Munoz was elected to the Bayonne BOE in November 2015, the first BOE election in the Peninsula City in 35 years.
He has largely been an independent voice on the board and was rumored to be mulling a council run in 2018 before deciding to run for the Assembly.
Meanwhile, Kristen Zadroga Hart, a Jersey City teacher, has served as a campaign manager and spokeswoman for BOE slates backed by the JCEA.
In the past three years, BOE tickets running with the support of the JCEA have won eight of the past nine contested seats on the board.
Neither Munoz or Hart could be reached for comment this morning, but multiple sources told Hudson County View that the candidates had already received the necessary signatures to file their petitions for nomination.
Munoz and Hart will challenge incumbents Nick Chiaravalloti and most likely Angela McKnight, though the latter was recently expected to make a run for state Senate.
Chiaravalloti and McKnight easily won the June Democratic primary in 2015 before coasting to election in November.
The filing deadline for candidates to run in the June 6 primary election is April 3.
