A section of 4th Street in Hoboken, between Hudson and Washington Streets, is closed due to a transformer failure, their office of emergency management said.

“4th St from Hudson to Washington is closed due to a transformer failure. Please avoid the area if possible,” Hoboken OEM tweeted late this morning.
“@PSEGNews crews will be on scene to make repairs which will take approx 24 hours. Power should not be impacted. @HobokenPD @CityofHoboken.”
Public Safety Director Kenneth Ferrante added OEM, police, and fire are working on the manhole at 4th and Washington Street.
