Tobin will ordain five to the priesthood at 10 a.m. before four will be ordained as traditional deacons at noon, according to the Archdiocese of Newark.

Robert Burkot, who attends Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus, is a seminarian who will each spend the next year serving an archdiocesan parish by performing charitable works, proclaiming God’s Word, and assisting in the liturgical and sacramental life of the Church.

This will culminate in their own ordinations to the priesthood one year from now.

Roberto Julio Moreno Andrión, Matthew Gonzalez, David Hinojosa, Peter Jacob Volz, and
Ashton Ignacio Francisco Wong will become priests, while Bernardo Garcia, Frenel Phanord, and JuHyun Andrew Lee will join Burkot in becoming deacons.

The ordinations will additionally be livestreamed on the Archdiocese’s YouTube and Facebook pages, as well as the Cathedral’s YouTube and Facebook pages for those who cannot attend in person.
