Robert DiVincent, the Housing Authority Executive Director in West New York and Weehawken, was named the interim ED at the Hoboken Housing Authority special meeting Tuesday.

Additionally, Acting Executive Director Richard Fox returns to his consulting role in the HHA.

After briefly suspending the agenda to await the arrival of commissioner Robert Davis, the board president, approved the interlocal services agreement by a unanimous vote of 6-0.

Barbara Reyes, a the Hoboken Housing Authority Resident Advisory Board President and a strong supporter of Garica, slammed the board for the move since DiVincent, Fox and Garcia would now all need to be paid at the same time.

DiVincent, who had the shared services agreement approved by the West New York Housing Authority minutes earlier, arrived at the tail end of the HHA meeting to address the public.

  1. A NATIONAWIDE SEARCH HUH? When the Vision 20/20 plan of Garcia had won a Smart Growth America Award from experienced advisers to the state on development and redevelopment. So when those with experience went looking they found the best – Garcia and found his plan to be commendable. Wefer and Mello are simply Zimmer puppets. If her name was not attached she wanted nothing of it.
