“In the first days of his administration, President Trump has shown he is not interested in making life more affordable for Americans or improving their quality of life. Instead, his administration has kicked off an unprecedented assault on those in New Jersey and across our nation who need help the most,” he said in a statement.

“It started by inflicting fear in diverse communities with warrantless raids and now his administration is planning on freezing federal financial aid payments. His actions have put vulnerable Americans – working families, children, seniors, and veterans – directly in the crosshairs.”

Menendez continued that nearly two million New Jerseyans could go without healthcare if Medicare payments are stalled, as well as that senior programs such as Meals on Wheels and community programs for veterans would also suffer.

In a two-page memo from the Office of Management and Budget obtained by Politico, all federal agencies would be forced to suspend payments — with the exception of Social Security and Medicare.

The White House acknowledged a Medicaid website portal outage on Tuesday, promoting the Hudson County congressman to wrote on mocking post on X that said in part “Please be patient while we do damage control and 🤞no one dies in the process.”

U.S. District Judge Loren AliKhan issued “a brief administration stay” last night blocking the federal funding freeze from taking effect any earlier than February 3rd at 5 p.m.

“This freeze is in blatant violation of federal law and has previously been ruled to be unconstitutional. While I’m grateful that a federal judge has temporarily blocked this action, I hope the Trump administration reverses course on this disastrous plan,” Menendez added.

“House Democrats are focused on lowering costs for New Jerseyans and protecting our most vulnerable friends and neighbors. Regardless of whether House Republicans choose to fight for Americans, House Democrats have and always will.”

  1. Rob Menendez, Jr voted no on the Laken Riley bill, so in his opinion, illegal immigrants who commit rapes and other crimes should not be deported. He also voted no on a bill to deport illegal immigrants who attack police officers. That bill came about due to migrants attacking New York City police officers which was seen throughout this nation. Rob Menendez should resign because he does not represent US citizens, only those who come here illegally.

  2. Rob we’d like to consider your support for criminal illegals and how you protect them over law abiding Americans who are victimized by their crimes.
