A 20-year-old West New York man was arrested on Friday for groping a 12-year-old girl on Bergenline Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Victor ConsiguaSaloj, 20, of West New York, is charged with sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said in a statement.
He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
Shortly after 6 p.m., the West New York Police Department was notified that a 12-year-old female juvenile was groped by an unknown male in the area of Bergenline Avenue and 58th Street.
Responding officers located the victim, a guardian, and a witness who positively identified the defendant and he was immediately taken into custody.
Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
