A Jersey City man was arrested yesterday for allegedly sexually assaulting 14-year-old girl he was acquainted with back in February of 2018, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Darious Dickey, 21, of Jersey City, was charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal sexual contact, Suarez said in a statement.
Yesterday at approximately 12:40 p.m., members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Dickey on the aforementioned charges involving the sexual assault of a 14-year-old female victim in 2018.
He was arrested without incident at the prosecutor’s office in Jersey City.
The sexual assault allegedly occurred in a residential building on Ocean Avenue on February 17th, 2018 and Dickey was arrested following an investigation by the HCPO SVU. Dickey is reportedly an acquaintance of the victim.
Following his arrest, Dickey was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny pending his first appearance.
Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for the investigation and arrest.
