The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding the killer of a 19-year-old Jersey City man who was gunned down in broad daylight yesterday. Prosecutor's Office

Yesterday at approximately 3:30 p.m., Jersey City police responded to Woodlawn Avenue on multiple 911 calls of shots being fired in the area, Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.

Upon arrival, the responding officers found a lifeless body at 95 Woodlawn Ave. The deceased man was identified as Rasheed Raysor, 19, of Jersey City, who suffered gunshot wounds to the upper torso during the incident, authorities said.

Raysor was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 3:50 p.m. The cause and manner of his death are pending an investigation by the state Medical Examiner, officials said.

The Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
