A Guttenberg woman has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy nearly two years ago after the alleged victim came forward, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Evelia Pena, 37, of Guttenberg, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The victim is now 17 and the alleged crimes occurred over several months approximately two years ago.
She was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit on Monday at approximately 4 p.m.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was notified of the alleged sexual assault of the boy when contacted by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP).
Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for the investigation and arrest.
