A 16-year-old juvenile has been charged in the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old in Jersey City that occurred on Friday evening, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

The 16-year-old is charged as a juvenile with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon, Suarez said in a statement.
He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus. Juvenile matters are confidential and no additional information can be released at this time.
On Friday, December 15th, at approximately 8:55 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department received a report of a stabbing in the area of Duncan Avenue and Wilmont Street.
Upon arrival, responding officers located a male victim – later identified as Naseer Munroe, 18, of Jersey City – with an apparent stab wound to the torso.
Munroe was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after 10 p.m.
