Police: 4 women, from 3 different states, charged with prostitution in Secaucus

Four young women, from three different states, were charged with prostitution in Secaucus last week, police said.

Carla Matos-Silverio, 21, of New York, New York, Ashley Lipowksi, 25, of Jersey City, Gladys Reynoso-Hernandez, 19, of Gustine, California and Taneka Hemmingway of 23, of Oakland, California, were all charged with prostitution, authorities said.

The arrests were made on June 1st at 5:01 p.m. in an ongoing effort to combat VICE crimes within the Town of Secaucus, officials said. Due to the undercover nature of the operation, police declined to reveal the particulars of the arrests.

All four women were processed, issued complaint summonses and released, police said.
