Manideep Nama, 26, was charged with DWI and reckless driving, according to Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera.

On Sunday, April 17th at about 2:30 a.m., Police Officers Bianca Arroyo and Nicholas Protopapadakis responded to 106 1st St. on a reported motor vehicle parked partially on the sidewalk facing the wrong way on a one-way street.

Upon arrival, they found a black Mazda as described above with a man, later identified as Nama, sleeping in the driver’s seat. Arroyo suspected that Nama was intoxicated and conducted a standardized field sobriety test.

As a result, she determined that Nama was unable to safely operate a motor vehicle and was placed under arrest for DWI.

Nama was transported to police headquarters where he provided breath samples for chemical testing, was charged with the two aforementioned motor vehicle summonses, and was released to a responsible party, authorities said.
