Richard Sharp, also known as “Famouss Richard,” 25, of Bayonne, was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose,
unlawful possession of a handgun, certain persons not to have weapons, possession of a defaced firearm, a possession of a large capacity magazine, according to Police Sgt. William Dundas.

He was placed under arrest at approximately 6:00 a.m. on July 12th at his residence on Isabella Avenue. During the arrest, a defaced firearm with large capacity magazine was recovered.

Sharp was arrested after an investigation by the Bayonne Police Department Detective Bureau into an incident that occurred on July 4th at the 22nd Street QuickChek, where he allegedly pointed a handgun at two victims during an argument in the parking lot.

Sharp then fled the area in his vehicle. He was processed and subsequently transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

His Instagram page boasts 231,000 followers, along with 313,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Sharp was arrested by Port Authority police in December for an armed robbery, the department wrote on Instagram.

“A YouTuber who films his antagonistic interactions with police officers approached Port Authority Police Officer Bradley DeSalvo in the 8th Avenue entrance of the Port Authority Bus Terminal. As the YouTuber was about to begin his act with a cohort filming, P.O. DeSalvo had a different trick up his sleeve,” the post says.

“DeSalvo recognized him from an NYPD BOLO for being wanted for a robbery with a handgun in the confines of the Mid-Town South Precinct and placed him under arrest. It’s not clear if his cameraman captured the arrest on film, but he can be rest assured that the PAPD did. ISN’T IT IRONIC?”
