We Are One New Jersey hosts first citizenship clinic in Hudson County center

More than 75 volunteer law students, attorneys and members of the community assisted immigrant families on the path to citizenship during the first We Are One New Jersey – Hudson County Center citizenship clinic.

The center’s executive director, Eduardo Meza, talked to Hudson County View about the services his organization offers.

Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and District 2 Freeholder Bill O’Dea talked about the investment the county was making into We Are One, including the potential economic and social benefits.

District 3 Freeholder Gerard Balmir Jr. – who works for the Laborers’ International Union of North America – talked about what unions like his were doing to get immigrants jobs.
