A Bayonne woman and a Secaucus man were arrested for engaging in prostitution last week after police responded to a call about money potentially being stolen, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Amber Wilson, 32, of Bayonne, was charged with engaging in prostitution and was also arrested for two outstanding warrants out of Bayonne: one for $100 and another for $2,500 with a 10 percent option, Miller said in a statement.

George Ayyoub, 38, of Secaucus, was also charged with engaging in prostitution.

Both were issued their complaint summonses and released from custody, while the Bayonne PD released Wilson on her own recognizance in relation to both outstanding warrants.

Miller has said previously that crackdowns on prostitution are part of “ongoing efforts to address this problem activity and the underlying crimes that come along with prostitution,” and since investigations are ongoing, no further information will be released at this time.
