Mina Demain, 35, of Bayonne, was charged with three counts of burglary and theft, as well as one count of criminal attempt burglary, according to Police Lt. Eric Amato.

Detectives were investigating burglaries at Fresh Mart, Tigers Deli and A&D Family Deli, determining that Demain used a prying tool to break into the front door of the establishments before taking lottery tickets and cash, authorities said.

On Wednesday, police arrived at Demain’s home and arrested him as he tried to flea through the rear entrance. He was also charged with attempted burglary after several unsuccessful attempts to break into A Sharp Deli, officials said.
