Hoboken Police Officers Steven Albert, Ramon Estrella, Joseph Lucignano and Marco Grossman were dispatched to 655 6th St. after a call of possible drug overdose, according to Police Det. Sgt. Edgardo Cruz.

The officers arrived to find the victim unresponsive in a stairwell. From their observations, it was believed that the victim ingested heroin, police said.

Officer Albert immediately administered two doses of Narcan to the 54-year-old victim, which assisted him in regaining consciousness, authorities said.

The Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance transported the victim to the Hoboken University Medical Center for further treatment and the victim is expected to recover, officials said.
