North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue promoted a new deputy chief, two battalion chiefs, and three captains at a private ceremony last week.

Battalion Chief Daniel Fresie was promoted to deputy chief, Jose Ramos and Brian Miller were named battalion chiefs, while Brian Testino, Kamil Mazinski, and John Woltman are the departments newest captains.

“This past Friday, we held a promotion ceremony for five outstanding members that have gone above and beyond in the line of service to our community,” NHRFR Chief Frank Montagne said in a statement.

“Their dedication and leadership serve as tremendous examples to our newer members and we are all incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”

In attendance for the ceremony was Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, West New York Mayor Gabe Rodriguez, Director Mike DeOrio, Director Jeff Welz, and Communications Director Joseph Isola.
