A New York man was arrested for sexually assaulting a juvenile in Jersey City between March and July of this year when the victim was between 11 and 12 years old, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Sergio Lokhanova-Flores, 18, of New York, is charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said in a statement.
He was arrested in Brooklyn, New York, and is being detained pending extradition to New Jersey. The investigation found the victim met the defendant online in February 2024.
The crimes occurred on various dates between March and July 2024 when the victim was 11 and 12 years old.
Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit with the investigation, with assistance by the New York City Police Department during the arrest.
