Confirming what Hudson County View exclusively reported yesterday, Margarita Guzman will join West New York Mayor Felix Roque’s re-election ticket.

“Margarita Guzman is a passionate educator with over 10 years of experience in preschool education” said Team Roque Spokesman Pablo Fonseca in a press release confirming Guzman’s candidacy.
According to the release, Guzman, a former West New York Board of Education candidate, is “an enthusiastic civic leader that volunteers for programs serving seniors and children.”
Guzman, an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, also holds degrees in Law and Advertising from the Universidad Tecnologica da Santiago and Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo respectively.
“Margarita will bring a fresh perspective and will work to support the needs of early childhood education,” stated Mayor Roque.
Roque added that “together, with Commissioners Cirillo, Rodriguez, and team member Susan Colacurcio, Margarita will help me set new initiatives to build on West New York’s progress.
