A man was found dead on Newark Avenue in Downtown Jersey City over the weekend and no foul play is suspected, an official said this morning.

On Saturday, August 5th, Jersey City police officers found a man in a lifeless condition around 7:05 a.m. at 165 Newark Ave., the address of the CityLife Church and the Jersey City Theater Center, said city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.
She added that no criminality is suspected at this time and that the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the body.
The man was identified as being 37 years old and no additional pedigree information was released. The Jersey City Times first reported the story.
