Dear Jersey City Voters,

THANK YOU for coming out and rocking the vote on election day. YOU ARE AWESOME! Regardless of who you voted for, the most important element is that you showed up and exercised one of our greatest American rights, that of voicing our opinion via the vote.

To those who placed their confidence in me, finding me worthy of a second term as a School Board Trustee, I am honored and grateful for your support. More importantly, the trifecta triumph of the Education Matters Team is one that will not be taken for granted.

Rest assure that throughout the campaign all the voices and concerns of our constituents were heard and we will take the same to the decision making table.

A special shoutout of appreciation to Commissioner Bill O’Dea and Councilman Danny Rivera for their endorsement, and to the JCEA for their support.

Heartfelt thanks to the varied communities, cultures and faith-based institutions that opened their doors to us and embraced our platform with overwhelming welcome. While too many to mention, you will all be remembered.

Finally, KUDOS to each of the other five candidates who also demonstrated commitment, hard work and dedication.

With humble appreciation,
Noemi Velazquez

Dear Jersey City Voters,

I want to sincerely thank you for casting a ballot in the recent election. Your voice counts! Whoever you voted for does not matter; what matters is that you voted. I am genuinely appreciative and honored of people who put their trust in me.

Please know that during the campaign, I paid attention to the concerns of the voters, and they will not be ignored. My platform of transparency, equity, accountability, community, and honesty is something I am firmly devoted to.

Please monitor my progress and keep me responsible. To improve the educational opportunities for the kids in our community, I am looking forward to engaging with the other board members and other Jersey City stakeholders.

I appreciate and thank Commissioner Bill O’Dea, Councilman Danny Rivera for their endorsements. Mike Greco, our campaign manager, is truly amazing. I also want to express my gratitude to JCEA for their assistance and backing.

Thank you to my crew, Noemi and Afaf. You two made this process simple for me, and I appreciate your unwavering support all along the way.

A special thank you to all the poll workers and supporters who help make these elections possible. We admire your dedication.

Finally, hearty congratulations to the other five candidates, who are all wonderful people who are committed to seeing schools improve. I appreciate all of you for making this a pleasant experience.

Regards,

Christopher Tisdale
