In a letter to the editor, Jersey City resident Demetrius Terry is congratulating Amy DeGise on making Hudson County history last night by becoming the first woman to chair the Hudson County Democratic Organization.Â
Dear Editor,
I would like to congratulate our next Chair of the Hudson County Democratic Organization, Amy Degise. Amy Degise is a bold progressive leader who took on the challenge to energize and rebuild our Democratic Party in Hudson County.
At a time when we have a Trump-Pence Republican Administration, it’s important we are united in Hudson County and Amy clearly understood that.
I believe it’s important we focus on continuing to elect progressive Democrats up and down the ballot and focus on re-electing our United States Senator Bob Menendez.
With Amy Degise leading our party, this is a big win for millennials. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I believe our party will truly reflect the diversity in Hudson County. Once again, congratulations Amy Degise!
