Mayor Steven Fulop appointed Metro to the post for 90 days, effective as of November 20th, in a letter sent to the city council last night.

Metro was hired by the city in October 2013 to serve as a fiscal analyst, became the budget director in January 2015, before being promoted to finance director in January of this year, according to a copy of his resume.

Metro will succeed Platt, who was approved by the Kansas City Council to serve as their city manager back on October 29th.

While Platt won’t serve in that role until January 4th of next year, his last day working in Jersey City will be November 25th, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.
