Jersey City Ward F Councilman Frank “Educational” Gilmore is backing Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and Katie Brennan for state Assembly in the 32nd Legislative District.

“Katie Brennan and Ravi Bhalla are exactly the type of independent voices we need in Trenton right now. Katie’s a housing expert and a fearless advocate who’s never afraid to speak truth to power,” Gilmore said in a statement.
“Mayor Bhalla has a strong record of getting things done while remaining independent from the political machine. They represent the kind of bold leadership our communities desperately need. They aren’t afraid to fight for what’s right, and they both know how to win.”
Gilmore is the first elected official from Jersey City to endorse Bhalla and Brennan, following Hoboken Council President Jim Doyle and 5th Ward Council Phil Cohen – the council vice president – two close political allies of the mayor.
Ward F is largely a part of the neighboring 31st Legislative District, but there is a downtown section of LD-32 in Ward F that includes the entire Paulus Hook Neighborhood.
“I’m honored to have Councilman Gilmore’s support Frank is a true inspiration. He’s a tireless advocate for Ward F and he’s shown what it means to govern with integrity and independence,” noted Brennan.
“Like Frank, I’m committed to making housing more affordable, improving public transit, fully funding our schools, and making sure government works for all of us.”
The LD-32 race is a six-person affair that also includes Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez (D-32), Jersey City Ward D Councilman Yousef Saleh, Hoboken Public Library Director Jennie Pu, and Jersey City Director of Buildings and Street Maintenance Crystal Fonseca.
Ramirez and Saleh are running on Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s gubernatorial ticket, while Pu and Fonseca have the support of the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO).
“Councilman Gilmore’s endorsement means a lot. He knows what it takes to challenge the status quo and deliver real results for the community,” added.
“I’ve watched Frank fight for affordable housing and transparent government in Jersey City, and I’m honored to have his support as we take that fight to Trenton.”
The primary elections for state Assembly throughout New Jersey are on June 10th.

Yeah, Ravi has “a strong record of getting things done.” High taxes, lawsuits against Hoboken and self-interested big spending. Happy Gilmore should get a clue.
Who’s going to tell him?
Can’t wait to dance on that grave when Bhalla wins
