Hudson County opens warming centers for anticipated frigid temperatures

In anticipation of the expected frigid temperatures over the weekend, Hudson County municipalities will be opening multiple warming centers to keep residents out of the freezing cold.

The warming centers, in alphabetical order by municipality, are as follows:

 

Bayonne

Fire House Recreation Center

597 Broadway

February 11th at 6 p.m. through February 15th at 8 a.m.

Guttenberg

Town Hall

6808 Park Ave.

February 12th through February 15th, 9 a.m. to 10:00 p.m,

Hoboken

The Wallace School

1100 Willow Ave.

February 12th at 7 p.m. through February 14th at noon

Jersey City

The Mary McLeod Bethune Center

140 Martin Luther King Dr.

February 12th through February 13th, 10 a.m. until 6 a.m.

Pershing Field Community Center

201 Central Ave.

1 p.m. to 6 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday

Senior centers and libraries also remain open over the weekend

North Bergen

Downtown Library

2123 John F. Kennedy Boulevard

Recreation Center

6300 Meadowview Ave.

Uptown Library

8411 Bergenline Ave.

All North Bergen locations will be open from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m., Friday through Monday.
