Hudson County jury convicts Weehawken man for 2022 Harrison armed robbery

A Hudson County jury convicted a Weehawken man on Friday for all counts related to a 2022 armed robbery that occurred in Harrison, authorities said.

Mouhamed Ba, 31, of Weehawken, was found guilty of robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated assaulting (pointing), and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

The verdict was delivered before Hudson County Superior Court Judge Mitchell Pascual following a week-long trial.

The charges stem from a robbery that occurred in Weehawken on January 29th, 2022. The defendant arranged to purchase an electronic device from the victim through an online selling platform.

The defendant robbed and assaulted the victim at gunpoint when meeting at the agreed upon location.

Ba faces 10 to 40 years in New Jersey State Prison at sentencing, which is tentatively scheduled for January 10, 2025th.

The State was represented at trial by Hudson County Assistant Prosecutors Kevin Sipe and Kristen Kinneary.
