Hudson Regional Health (HRH) President and CEO Dr. Nizar Kifaieh received the 2026 Top Leaders Award from the Global Healthcare Leaders Foundation on Thursday.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition, which also belongs to all of the hardworking professionals at Hudson Regional Health who consistently deliver the highest quality care to the communities we serve,” Kifaieh said in a statement.
“My appreciation goes to the leadership of the Global Healthcare Leaders Foundation, which goes above and beyond to create opportunities for collaboration and lasting impact in healthcare.”
The Top Leaders Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated leadership and impact within healthcare.

HRH operated Bayonne University Hospital, Hoboken University Hospital, Secaucus University Hospital, and former Height University Hospital, which shuttered in March.
After a legal battle drew the process out, a state-mandated certificate of need hearing on the closure took place in Jersey City on Thursday evening, which residents and elected officials alike calling on the hospital to reopen, as HCV first reported.
