Hoboken police seeking the public’s help after man shot near 9th and Monroe Streets

The Hoboken Police Department is seeking the public’s help in relation to an investigation into man being shot near 9th and Monroe Streets early this morning.

This morning at approximately 2:37 a.m., the Hoboken Police Department received a call for a man shot in the area of 9th and Monroe Streets, according to Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera.

When police responded, they located a man who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Medical aid was provided and he was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.

The victim is listed as critical but stable at this time and the Hoboken Police Department is currently actively investigating this incident.

” … The investigation to date indicates this was a directed attack and is not a random or indiscriminate shooting. I look forward to additional reports from the HPD and pray for the recovery of the victim,” added 5th Ward Councilman Phil Cohen.
