Hoboken police seeking public’s help to make arrest in late night shooting incident

The Hoboken Police Department is seeking the public’s help to make an arrest in a late night incident yesterday where a man was shot in the stomach.

Last night shortly before midnight, Hoboken police officers responded to a confirmed shooting in the area of 4th and Jackson Streets.

The preliminary investigation shows that an unknown person exited a vehicle, the victim turned and faced him/her, and was then shot in the stomach.

Police Officers Kyle Seper, Jonathan Figueroa, and Aaron Font responded to the victim and provided aid along with the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corp. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition in the ICU.

The victim is a 20-year-old man from Hoboken. The weapon believed to be used was a 45-caliber handgun.
