Hoboken police seeking public’s help to identify and locate stabbing suspect

The Hoboken Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who allegedly stabbed a man when he confronted him about trying to break into his car over the weekend.

The Hoboken PD responded to a stabbing incident on Saturday, March 16, at approximately 4 a.m., near the intersection of Jefferson and Fourth Streets, according to public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin.

The victim and his friends allegedly confronted a man who they believed to be breaking into a car and that individual stabbed the 22-year-old victim, who is not from Hoboken. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.

Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with any information to contact Police Officer Samuel Flores at 201-420-2100 ext. 3104 or floress@hobokenpdnj.gov.

Additionally, Hoboken police asks anyone who is a victim of, or witnesses a crime to call 911 immediately and avoid confronting actors if possible.
