The Hoboken Fire Department phone system is experiencing technical difficulties and residents are urged to call dispatch or 911 in case of an emergency.

“Please be advised that the Hoboken Fire Department phone system is currently experiencing technical difficulties,” the city said in a Nixle alert this morning.
“If you need fire assistance, for any reason, please call 201-420-2004. If you have any fire, police, or medical emergency, please continue to use 9-1-1. Repairs are being made. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
The nature of the technical issues was not explained in any further detail.
