North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue promoted 13 new firefighters during a ceremony at Schuetzen Park in North Bergen yesterday.

“The promotion of these thirteen members of the North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue will ensure that the department is in qualified hands with the most skilled firefighters possible,†NHRFR Management Committee Chairman/Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner said in a statement.
“Our number one concern is keeping the residents of North Hudson safe and with these promotions, I am confident that we are more ready than ever to accomplish this.â€
“We are proud of each and every one of our members who are being promoted and congratulate them for their hard work and dedication throughout their careers,†added NHRFR Fire Chief Frank Montagne.
