Eddy Chocoj, 34, of North Bergen, is charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault, and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) also placed a detainer on Chocoj on Tuesday, as The Daily Voice first reported.

On November 9th, the Fairview Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child.

An investigation revealed that Chocoj sexually assaulted a child between the ages of 4 and 11 years old on multiple occasions in Fairview.

He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, Musella also said.
