Prosecutor: West New York man, 20, charged with sexually assaulting girl between ages 12-14


A 20-year-old West New York man is charged with sexually a girl when she was between the ages of 12 to 14, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

Noe Ventura-Amaya, 20, of West New York, is charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact, sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, aggravated assault, and two separate counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The crimes occurred on multiple dates in 2021 and 2022 while the victim was between 12 and 14 years old. The defendant and victim are known to one another.

He was arrested at his residence in West New York and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance. The State has filed a detention motion, which is tentatively scheduled for Monday, February 6th.
