Gabriel Rodriguez sworn in as new DPW Commissioner in West New York

Gabriel Rodriguez, 36, a field representative for U.S. Rep. Albio Sires (D-8), was sworn in as the new Department of Public Works Commissioner in West New York at their monthly board of commissioners meeting last night. Rodriguez replaces current District 7 Freeholder Caridad Rodriguez (no relation).

Shortly after Rodriguez was sworn in, Roque offered high praise for the latest member of the board. Rodriguez took a few minutes to chat with Hudson County View shortly after the meeting concluded.

He also added that he just found out today that he would be the commissioner of the department of public works, so it would be premature to asses what does or doesn’t need to be a high priority in the department.

Hudson County View first reported that Gabriel Rodriguez would be the one replacing Freeholder Caridad Rodriguez, the former West New York Commissioner of Public Safety, back on January 7.

  1. just another sign that mayor roque is completely under the thumb of albio sires. This is the latest of the spies to infiltrate wny and report ever minor detail back to the congressman. Good luck getting anything done here on your own. The mayor just set us back 10 years. Hopefully the people see through the lies and the charade.
