Freeholder Bill O’Dea on Hudson County Executive race: ‘It’s still early’

Jersey City Freeholder Bill O’Dea (District 2) briefly spoke about County Executive Tom DeGise picking up three more endorsements for the June 2015 primary on Tuesday. O’Dea is the rumored Democratic challenger to DeGise, though he is yet to make it official.

West New York Mayor Felix Roque, Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner and Guttenberg Mayor Gerald Drasheff all endorsed DeGise at the North Hudson Campus of Hudson County Community College in Union City on Tuesday afternoon.

DeGise has now received the support of nine out of the 12 Hudson County mayors, with Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop – who has a close relationship with O’Dea – yet to endorse a County Executive candidate yet.
