For the second time since early October, the North Bergen Licensing Center, still commonly known as the DMV, is shutting down after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

“BREAKING: NORTH BERGEN LICENSING CENTER is closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, and will reopen Thursday, December 17,” a 3:10 p.m. tweet from the New Jersey MVC at says.

They also note that anyone who had an appointment cancelled due to these circumstances will have reschedule.

The same facility closed between October 6th and October 20th due to a staffer’s positive coronavirus test.

While the Bayonne and Jersey City facilities had both closed for the same reason, the North Bergen DMV is the first in Hudson County to be temporarily shut down twice due to COVID-19.
