Boggiano, Bariso differ on land deal for future county courthouse

Jersey City Councilman Rich Boggiano and Hudson County Assignment Judge Peter Bariso expressed their differences to the Hudson County Board of Freeholders.

The Hudson County Board of Freeholders unanimously passed, with Chairman Munoz and Freeholder O’Dea abstaining, a resolution approving the purchase of property across the street from the existing Hudson County Courthouse for a future courthouse for nearly $9 million.

Before the freeholders voted on the ordinance, Ward C Councilman Rich Boggiano, whose ward includes the courthouse area, and Hudson County Assignment Judge Peter Bariso differed on the deal.
