Bayonne OEM announces 508 COVID-19 cases, 33 deaths, and 103 recoveries

The Bayonne Office of Emergency Management has announced 508 active COVID-19 cases, 33 deaths, and 103 recoveries citywide as of Friday evening.

“Mayor Davis has informed us of four more Coronavirus-related fatalities. These deaths,
a 65-year-old woman and three men, ages 57, 80 and 82, now bring us to 33 Bayonne
residents that have passed away due to COVID-19-related illness,” OEM said in their daily update.

“Mayor Davis extends his condolences, on behalf of all of Bayonne, to the families of all the deceased residents.”

They also pointed out that the Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation is accepting donations during this crisis.

This afternoon, the New Jersey Department of Health revealed that there are 9,646 cases of COVID-19 in Hudson County, including 420 deaths – both the third most in the state by county.
