A shooting occurred at Bayonne’s 16th Street Park this afternoon and the victim’s injuries do not appear life threatening, according to Mayor Jimmy Davis.Â

Davis tweeted the limited details that are available just before 8 p.m.
A law enforcement source told Hudson County View that the victim is an 18-year-old male, who is being treated at the Jersey City Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the back.
Bayonne’s 16th Street Park is located near the intersection of 16th Street and Avenue A.
