Prieto sent out tweet just a four hours after news broke on Menendez’s indictment, stressing innocent until proven guilty.

Prieto joins Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, U.S. Rep. Albio Sires and state Sen. Nick Sacco (D-32) in talking about Menendez’s track record in for fighting for New Jersey residents.

West New York Mayor Felix Roque has thus far been the most vocal supporter of Menendez, being the only elected official to attend Menendez’s press conference where he addressed the charges against him in Newark Wednesday night, speaking very highly of the senator’s character.

During a press conference where the Hudson County Democratic Organization announced their Assembly and County Executive picks for the June 2 Democratic primary election on March 6, Prieto noted that he would not respond to a CNN report that Menendez would be brought up on corruption charges soon.
