Bayonne firefighters made quick work of a one-alarm blaze at a store on Broadway yesterday morning, according to Deputy Fire Chief Bill Bartos.

At approximately 9:50 a.m., Bayonne firefighters where dispatched to DII Deals an Discounts, 483 Broadway for a reported structure fire, which was coming from the front of the building, Bartos said in a statement.
“Crews used two hand lines and in conjunction with the businesses sprinkler system, the fire was declared under control at 10:10am. No injures were reported. A fire investigation is underway,” he added.
“Once again, our firefighters exhibited their commitment to preserving life and property within our community with their quick and professional work [yesterday] morning.”
