The North Bergen Police Department and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident with serious bodily injury.
The incident occurred just after midnight early this morning in the area of 1415 Tonnelle Avenue on Route 1&9 South. Nearby landmarks are the Wendy’s restaurant and the Seville Motel, the NBPD wrote on their Facebook page.
An adult male pedestrian was crossing Tonnelle Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The car in question is believed to be a dark colored, possibly black 2005-2007 Toyota Sequoia. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and is missing the front Toyota symbol, officials said.
Anyone with any information and/or leads is urged to please contact the North Bergen Police Department (201) 392-2141 or the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office (201) 915-1300 immediately.
He’ll never do that again. Clowns walking into traffic. Good population control.
upgrade to better cameras 🙂 problem solved.
They install these cameras all over town that can read the serial number off a bill laying on the street and that’s the best picture they can show?
I have a better camera on my PHONE! This is why I don’t walk on Toonsdale Avenue, that Toyota’s been haunting the streets for weeks. Happy Halloween I guess…
