This morning just prior to 1 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department

had sustained gunshot wound(s) to her back and was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 2:02 a.m.

Sources familiar with the situation, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, said she was attending a vigil for bass when she was shot.

The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
