Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting at Martin Luther King Drive and Forrest Street in Jersey City that occurred late last night.

“The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting of a man that occurred in the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Forrest Street in Jersey City. More information to follow,” the HCPO tweeted at 4:36 a.m. this morning.
Police radio transmissions indicated that the incident occurred around 11 p.m. last night.
No further information was immediately available, though the intersection has seen several shooting incidents this year, including the fatal shooting of Reginald Williams, 32, last month.
