“On June 8, 2022 we all lost two brothers who are very dear to us and hold a special place in our hearts and forever will. They left this world and left their two loving parents and their 11 year old sister. Many of us loved these two boys and they both loved us,” Eliass Nid-Youssef wrote in the page description.

“The memories we have of them will never be enough to match the energy that they brought into a room and the way they lit up a room everytime they entered one. So, we write this and create this page to ask you, the people who they loved and the people who loved them to please help us in trying to support Chu Ming and Jack’s family in this time that they are facing by raising some money to help cover the funeral service and for any other expenses the family deems right Thank you.”

The fundraising effort set a $20,000 goal and has already raised $15,859 as of about 1:30 p.m. this afternoon since the page went live yesterday.

The Bayonne PD indicated yesterday morning that the two brothers, ages 16 and 19, drowned in the pool yesterday when three lifeguards were on duty.

A 911 call also drew a response from police, firefighters, and EMS, but they were both pronounced dead at the Bayonne Medical Center last night. The brothers have since been identified as Chu Ming Zheng and Jack Jiang.

A third sibling, their sister, was also present when the incident took place, but was never in any danger, authorities said.

The Bayonne Board of Education has also launched their own internal probe and kicked off a gift card fundraiser for the family.
