“Due to the impending snow storm coming this Monday, out of an abundance of caution. We will be closing the Hudson County #COVID19 vaccination site located in Kearny at the USS Juneau,” the Hudson Regional Health Commission tweeted minutes ago.

“All persons that had appointments have been contacted by email and phone with their new date.”

The West Hudson location was the first county-run vaccination center in the state to open in late December, but like many other parts of the country, is now being hampered due to a dosage shortage.

For this past week, Hudson County as a whole received 3,500 doses, with 1,300 being reserved for the USS Juneau Center effort.

Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise said that on Friday, January 22nd, their operation administered over 1,200 doses.
