Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting outside a Hoboken Housing Authority building, wit few details immediately available as of this writing.

“The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Hoboken Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting on Marshall Drive. More to follow,” the HCPO tweeted just before 1:30 a.m.
The incident occurred outside 320 Marshall Drive, though no other details from the incident were immediately released.
This is the first fatal incident in the Mile Square City since a 28-year-old man, Christopher Garcia, was gunned down outside 560 Marshall Drive in September 2022.
At 1:01 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez released more information.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, the Hoboken Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of 320 Marshall Drive and responding officers located a crime scene outside the building, Suarez said in a statement.
A 21- year-old man, later identified as Damon Murray, of Hoboken, was transported by a private vehicle to the Jersey City Medical Center with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was pronounced dead just after 12 midnight this morning.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Hoboken Police Department are actively investigating this matter and no arrests have been made at this time.
