“As we enter into a new phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, now more than ever it’s important for us to invest all of our resources into an efficient and robust vaccination program,” Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise said in a statement.

“We will continue to keep Hudson County residents safe, healthy and informed through the remainder of the pandemic and ensure that everyone receives a vaccine in line with the state’s vaccination schedule.”

Additionally, Hudson County has launched a comprehensive website to provide the most up to date information about vaccination and testing opportunities available to residents.

Covid.hcnj.us directs individuals where to make vaccination appointments, lists information about testing opportunities at the county testing site at Hudson Regional Hospital in Seacucus, and also shares relevant local COVID-19 data.

Hudson County was the first in New Jersey to open a county-run public vaccination center and began vaccinating individuals within hours of receiving its first shipment.

The Vaccine Distribution Center is operating through a collaborative effort with the Hudson Regional Health Commission, the Hudson County Improvement Authority, the Hudson County Office of Emergency Management, County Department of Roads and Public Property, the Hudson County Schools of Technology and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

The center is open by appointment only for 1A personnel, which includes doctors and nurses within private practices, dentists, hygienists, community and public health workers, funeral directors, paid and unpaid Emergency Medical Technicians, and those working in labs with infectious materials.
